Joe Kollege spins a special Soulquarians + Family DJ Set during Promontory After Dark…

The Soulquarians were a neo soul and alternative hip hop-informed musical collective. The collective, formed during the late 1990s, continued into the early 2000s, and produced several well-received albums. Members included: Common, ?uestlove, Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, James Poyser, Roy Hargrove, Pino Palladino, J Dilla, Q-Tip, and Bilal. Many of these artists/musicians/producers have performed and/or played on one another’s albums, creating a synergy and sound that was an integral force that shaped the so-called Neo Soul and Organic Hip Hop movement.

Joe Kollege will play music performed and produced by these artists along with their extended families (A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Slum Village, Raphael Saadiq, Lucy Pearl, etc.)
